We can help make buying a home simpler!

Step 1: Get pre-qualified

Getting pre-qualified for a mortgage can help you understand how much home you can afford. It can make your offer more attractive to sellers too, because it gives them confidence you can afford to buy their homes. At Freedom Mortgage, we can often help you get pre-qualified using our free online tool. Click the tile below to get started!

Step 2: Find your new home

Once you know how much you can afford – you are ready to begin looking for your new home! Think about what features are important to you like the size of the house, the number of rooms you want, and its location. If you commute to work, look at the distance to your office. If you have children or are planning to start a family, check out the local schools. Think about finding a real estate agent for your new home search with help from our partners HomeStory.

Step 3: Get your mortgage approved

Homebuyers typically apply for a mortgage once their bid on a new home is accepted. You’ll need to formally apply for a mortgage even if you are pre-qualified! We’ll review your application using a process called “mortgage underwriting” and hopefully accept your application. Once approved, you are ready to close on your new home.
